Kat comes from three generations of psychotic beauty queens on her manic mother’s side and is the daughter of a military man who was a spy, and broke spies for a living. Consequently her take on life is somewhat outside the box and after fourteen years of Jungian analysis she has finally accepted that that’s okay. A pagan feminist and activist for consciousness, Kat writes the Middle Aged Woman Talking blog, a unique synthesis of social commentary, humor, women’s issues, goddess spirituality and witch speak, fiction, novels, and lefty politics, Kat sheds a pointed, sometimes poignant, and often hilarious middle-aged woman’s perspective on life and the world as we know it. She is the author of the wildly original and controversial, Genesis 2: The Passion of Emma Ray Earle, which has been described by one of her fans as the exuberant love child of a three-way between Gabriel Garcia Marquez, StarHawk, and Sookie Stackhouse, who has been raised by Faulkner. She is currently at work on her second novel, Jane Lee’s Book of Door.
When Kat isn’t writing Middle Aged Woman Talking and paradigm shattering novels for the conscious collective, she runs Goddess Heal, gardens, rides her bike and loves her friends and family beyond all reason.
